The filing of nominations for the parliamentary elections are scheduled to commence today (Tuesday, 19th March).
With the 2nd Phase of the parliamentary elections scheduled on 18th April, including the elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry is scheduled for 40 parliamentary seats; the election will be held for a total of 97seats.
Filing for nomination for contesting the above election commences today (19th March). Nominations can be filed until 26th March. The elections will be on 18th April.
In this situation, the election manifesto by both the leading parties in Tamil Nadu, DMK and AIADMK, are set to be released today (18th March).
Meanwhile, the filing of nominations for the seats for the 1st Phase of the parliamentary elections to be conducted in Andhra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and other states for 91 seats on 11th April, commenced yesterday (18th March)
The filing of nominations for the legislative assembly elections to be held in the states of Andhra, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha also commenced yesterday (18th March).
