Daily ATM Withdrawal Limits for Major Banks: What You Need to Know!

Despite the growing trend toward digital payments, cash remains essential for many people, and ATMs offer a convenient way to access it. However, banks have set specific daily withdrawal limits for ATM transactions. Here’s a look at the withdrawal limits for some major banks:

State Bank of India (SBI):
SBI, India’s largest public sector bank, offers various ATM cards with different daily withdrawal limits:

• Classic Debit Card or Maestro Debit Card: ₹20,000
• SBI Platinum International Debit Card: ₹1 lakh
• SBI GO Linked TouchTap Debit Card: ₹40,000

SBI cardholders are allowed 3 free withdrawals per month in metro cities and 5 free withdrawals in other cities. Additional transactions incur a fee of ₹5 at SBI ATMs and ₹10 at other bank ATMs.

Punjab National Bank (PNB):
PNB’s daily withdrawal limits vary by card type:

• PNB Platinum Debit Card: ₹50,000
• PNB Classic Debit Card: ₹25,000
• PNB Gold Debit Card: ₹50,000

PNB allows 3 free transactions (financial and non-financial) per month in six metro cities (Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad) at other banks` ATMs. In other cities, cardholders are allowed 5 free transactions.

HDFC Bank:
HDFC Bank offers 5 free transactions per month, with a ₹125 fee for international withdrawals. The daily withdrawal limits are:

• Millennia Debit Card: ₹50,000
• MoneyBack Debit Card: ₹25,000
• Rewards Debit Card: ₹50,000

Axis Bank:
Axis Bank’s daily withdrawal limit is ₹40,000. Exceeding the free transaction limit incurs a fee of ₹21 per transaction.

Bank of Baroda:
The daily withdrawal limits for Bank of Baroda debit cards are:

• BPCL Debit Card: ₹50,000
• MasterCard DI Platinum Debit Card: ₹50,000
• MasterCard Classic DI Debit Card: ₹25,000
