Chennai has experienced steady rainfall, with notably heavier showers in South Chennai, delighting residents. According to Tamil Nadu Weatherman, rains are expected to continue for around two hours with varying intensity, followed by a possible break. Showers are likely to cease first in South Chennai, ECR, and OMR, then gradually taper off in Central and North Chennai.
Rainfall is predicted to pick up again from late tonight into tomorrow morning. Hopes remain high that catchment areas like Poondi and Chembarambakkam will receive much-needed rainfall, as the current weather convergence is mostly concentrated along the coastal belt
