Traffic Alert: Diversions Announced for "Fresh Works" Chennai Marathon on Jan 5
On account of "FRESH WORKS CHENNAI MARATHON" organized by Chennai runners on Saturday Jan 05, 2025,in the following 4 categories of Marathon (i-e) 42.195 Km from Napier Bridge to Indian Maritime University, ECR, 32.186 Km from Napier Bridge to Indian Maritime University, ECR, 21.097 Km from Elliots Beach to Indian Maritime University, ECR, and 10 Km from Napier Bridge to Sivananda Salai at morning 04.00 hrs, In this regard, the following traffic arrangements has been made by Greater Chennai Traffic Police from 03.00 am till 08.00 am:
- Vehicles will not be allowed from War Memorial to Gandhi Statue incoming and outgoing direction.
- There will be no change of traffic on incoming direction from Thiru. Vi.Ka. Bridge to Gandhi Statue via Dr.DGS Dinakaran Salai, Santhome High Road, upto Gandhi Statue.
- Vehicles will not be allowed from War Memorial to Thiru.Vi.Ka. bridge and will be diverted to Flag Staff road - Wallajah Point left Anna Salai to reach their destination.
- Vehicles plying from R.K.Salai will not be allowed towards Gandhi Statue & will be diverted to V.M.Street via., Royapettah High Road, Luz Corner, R.K.MuttRoad to reach their destination.
- Vehicles plying from LB Road x SP road Jn will not be allowed towards Besant avenue road and will be diverted to LB road, Shastri Nagar towards Thiruvanmiyur Signal to reach their destination.
- Vehicles plying from Gandhi Mandapam point will not be allowed towards OMR and will be diverted at CPT Jn towards LB road, Shastri Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur Signal to reach their destination.
- Vehicles plying from Besant Nagar 7th Avenue Jn will not be allowed towards Elliots Beach and will be diverted towards MG Road to reach their destination.
- MTC Buses will be allowed to Besant Nagar Depot and will not be allowed towards Besant Avenue Road, ML Park.
