It has been announced on the official website of the Central Ministry of Road Transport that there will be no need for Driving Tests if trained at the Driving School. This new scheme is to be implemented shortly. This has been announced on the official website page of the Central Ministry of Road Transport.
Generally, it is required to attend a training session in a driving school to obtain the Driving License. After attending the training sessions for a few days, applications will be submitted for getting the Driving License.
In the 1st stage, registration will be made for LLR (Learner Licence ), the learning sessions will be continued and then, driving will be done in presence of the RTO (Road Transport Officer) and then driving license will be issued.
The above procedure takes a rather long time.
As such, to simplify the present system of issue of Driving Licence and a target to reduce the road accidents by 50% before 2025, the Central Ministry of Road Transport is set to introduce a new system.
The Central Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has prepared a draft for this new scheme proposed. With this, a new set of Rules & Regulations are to be implemented. Once implemented, all Driving School Centres will have to follow these.
On completing the training at the driving school centres, and then applying for Driving License, there will be no Driving Test.
Complaints have been received that some of the candidates get the Driving Licence without attending the full Driving School Course and learning in full. Further, these drivers are responsible for several road accidents later! As such, this new proposal is t be implemented to ensure proper learning in the Driving Schools.
As it is mandatory to earn driving properly at the Driving School Centres, it is expected that the driving skills will be properly enhanced.
The draft for this proposal was released on 29th January has been uploaded in the official website page of the Central Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
