The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has invited residents to showcase the city’s charm through photography. Chennai, second only to Kolkata in heritage sites, boasts over 2,000 historic structures like Chennai Central, Egmore, Royapuram Railway Station, St. George’s Fort, and Ripon Building, many over 200 years old. Iconic temples from the Chola and Pallava periods, such as Parthasarathy Temple in Thiruvallikeni and Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore, also add to the city`s legacy.
Citizens can capture and submit photos of Chennai’s landmarks, daily life, and modern architecture to be featured in GCC’s weekly photo series on its official social media pages.
