There is some good news for the citizens belonging to Tamil Nadu regarding getting quality products at affordable rates!!
On Wednesday, 18th of December 2024, the state government launched a special Pongal sale at the co-operative retail stores across Tamil Nadu. It is now said that the people could buy quality products from these stores at affordable prices.
Yesterday, the famous Kamadhenu Cooperative Supermarket at Teynampet in Chennai was busy as the TN Co-operative minister Mr. K.R. Periakaruppan inaugurated the initiative. The minister spoke about how for the Pongal festival season the TN Co-operative dept has launched three special packages Information gathered is that the 3 packages would be sweet pongal package at Rs 199, Co-operative special pongal package at Rs 499 and mega pongal package at Rs 999.
The objective of the Co-operative department would be to provide quality products at affordable rates to the consumers in TN. This was mentioned by the minister. Point is that the sales of pongal special packages would surpass the sales of deepavali special packages. Not only the pongal special packages, but the TN govt would also distribute pongal gifts including sugarcane packs through fair price shops.
Soon, the CM of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin would make a formal announcement regarding the distribution of these gift packs. The minister Mr. Periakaruppan later spoke about the vacancies present at the fair price shops in TN. He added that for 3440 job vacancies more than 2.06lakhs have applied. The appointment orders would be sent to the eligible candidates soon.
