Lives of IT staff working at IT Tech Park in Taramani in Chennai have been made easy now with this sensational launch!!
To expand the last mile connectivity for the IT staff working in IT Tech Park in Taramani, CMRL or Chennai Metro Rail Limited has launched tempo services on Monday. The tempo services would ply between IT Tech Park in Taramani and Little mount metro station.
It was revealed in the press note that CMRL has been providing last mile connectivity services to many IT parks in Chennai. As a result, the commuters would be able to travel seamlessly from their workplaces to the nearby metro stations. In this scenario, CMRL would further improve their services by operating an air-conditioned tempo service between Little Mount metro station and International Tech Park or Ascendas Tech Park in Taramani.
Information gathered is that the feeder service would be covering 6km approximately one way. Depending on the road traffic, the feeder service would have a travel time of 25 to 30 minutes.
According to the press note from CMRL, the feeder tempo services would be available from 8:30am to 1pm and from 5:30 pm till 9:30 pm in the evenings from Monday to Friday.
G-TAXIE mobile app:
At a cost of Rs 50, the commuters could avail the feeder services through G-TAXIE mobile application that is accessible on both android and apple platforms. With the help of this mobile app, the commuters would be able to buy tickets, track the vehicle and view live location or estimated time of arrival of the vehicle.
It is noteworthy that on Monday the tempo feeder service initiative was launched by Mr. Rajesh Chaturvedi, director (systems & operations) of CMRL at the International Tech Park ITPC.
