As Chennai braces for heavy rains, Aavin has announced that several milk stations across the city will operate 24/7 to ensure uninterrupted milk distribution. To meet the increased demand and address potential disruptions, the dairy cooperative has also stocked adequate supplies of milk powder and UHT milk at its stations.
24/7 Milk Stations:
The following Aavin milk stations will remain open around the clock:
1. Ambattur
2. Anna Nagar
3. Madhavaram
4. Vannanthurai (Adyar) & Besant Nagar
5. Vasantham Colony, Anna Nagar East
6. Sholinganallur
7. Virugambakkam (Near Valasaravakkam Mega Mart)
8. CP Ramasamy Road Station, Mylapore
Key Measures:
- Purchase Limit: A maximum of 4 milk packets per person will be enforced to ensure fair distribution.
- Temporary Sales Points: Additional sales points will be established across Chennai for distributing milk powder and UHT milk, ensuring accessibility even in rain-affected areas.
