The Tamil Nadu tourism department is set to launch a Machine Learning-based chatbot to enhance travel experiences for tourists. The chatbot will offer real-time information and personalized recommendations, helping tourists navigate Tamil Nadu more effectively. It will provide instant answers about tourist destinations, accommodation, transport, and local amenities while promoting sustainable tourism through eco-friendly tips and cultural insights.
The chatbot will be user-friendly with a visually appealing interface, supporting multiple languages including English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, French, Spanish, and German. It will provide details on popular attractions, history, opening hours, and nearby sites, as well as links to book accommodations through the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) and approved private hotels. The chatbot is expected to launch in a few months.
