Chennai District Collector Orders Mandatory Registration of Womens Hostels by November 15

Chennai District Collector Rashmi Siddharth Jagade has issued a directive requiring all women`s hostels and homes operating within the district to complete their registration by 5 pm on November 15. The move aims to ensure the safety and proper regulation of accommodations for women.
Accommodation managers who fail to comply with the registration requirements will face legal action, including a fine of ₹50,000 and up to 2 years of imprisonment. The directive emphasizes the importance of adhering to the regulations to avoid severe penalties.
