Highly recommended to Non-Vegetarian meal lovers. This is a lunch only place. Not open for Breakfast or Dinner. This famous Mess from Pattukotai is hardly a week old in Chennai.
Meals is a constant but you can select your side dish. Prices vary according to the choice of your side dish. Their Meals is quiet elaborate with 7 kinds of Gravies (their Menu claims 9) - Chicken Gravy, Kaadai (Quail) Gravy, Chicken Kuzhambu, Prawn Gravy, Nandu (Crab) Gravy, Elumbu (Bones) Gravy, Meen Kuzhambu.
Pattukotai Kamatchi Mess excels in terms of service. Apart from the gravies, you have the usual suspects from meals like Kootu, Poriyal, Rasam, Payasam and Curd. There`s a Karuvattu Sambal that`s served along with the Meals that tasted very good. You get Raw Sambhar Vengayam (Shallots) and a small bottle of mineral water as part of the meals.

Mutton Biryani (Rs.210) which they call as Pasava Biryani.
