49th India Tourism and Industrial Trade Fair Begins in Chennai
The 49th India Tourism and Industrial Trade Fair, organized by Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC), was inaugurated by Minister for Tourism R. Rajendran at the Island Grounds. Returning after a two-year break, the fair features over 30 rides, 110 shops, 30 private halls, and 44 government stalls showcasing various departments.
With an entry fee of ₹40 for adults and ₹25 for children (ages 4-10) and students, the fair operates from 3 PM to 10 PM on weekdays and 11 AM to 10 PM on weekends. Online payments are accepted, and tickets will soon be available on TTDC, Paytm Insider, and BookMyShow.
Amenities like drinking water, restrooms, and dedicated facilities for mothers and the elderly are provided. Special government buses connect key city points to the venue, with over 9 lakh visitors expected this year.
