TNSTCs Navagraha Temples Tour Package Completes One Year, Plans Expansion

The Navagraha Temples Tour Package service, organized by the Kumbakonam division of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), has successfully completed one year, with over 22,000 devotees availing the service. Encouraged by its success, officials are now considering increasing the number of services.

Successful One-Year Journey

Launched on February 24, 2024, by State Minister SS Sivasankar, the package tour has been a popular choice for devotees. The deluxe bus service (₹750 per ticket) operates daily, while the air-conditioned service (₹1,350 per ticket) runs from Friday to Sunday.

The package covers the major Navagraha shrines, including:

- Thingalur
- Alangudi
- Thirunageswaram
- Suriyanar Koil
- Kanjanur
- Vaitheeswarankoil
- Keelaperumpallam
- Tiruvenkadu
- Tirunallar

Special Celebrations Marking One Year

To commemorate the first anniversary, TNSTC officials welcomed devotees with traditional music and gifted sweets, water bottles, caps, keychains with miniature Navagraha temples, and flowers.

TNSTC Kumbakonam Divisional Managing Director R. Ponmudi flagged off the buses, marking the beginning of the second year. He stated that devotees from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka, as well as from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Singapore, have benefited from the tour. Tickets are available at physical counters and online for convenience.

Future Expansion Plans

Due to the overwhelming response, TNSTC is planning to expand services in the near future.

The event was attended by General Manager S. Sridharan, Deputy Manager Rajesh, and other senior officials.
