The IMD has issued a warning for the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, anticipating heavy rains. Schools and colleges in Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram will function as usual.
Meanwhile, schools in Puducherry and Karaikal districts have already been closed following warnings of potential flash floods.
Holidays are also expected to be announced in other districts where rain alerts have been issued.
