DESALINATION PLANT IN NEMMELI TO BE COMPLETED BY 2011.

The
Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin announced that work order for Desalination
plant had been issued. The plant is to come up on 40 acre site at a cost Rs 533
Crore. The work is expected to start soon, has been scheduled to be completed
by December, 2011 according to Stalin. The pipeline work involving
66 Km stretch from the plant to areas like Akkarai, Velachery and
Thiruvanmiyur will be laid at a cost of Rs 122 Crores and has been
planned to be completed by August,2011, Stalin Said.
