BE, B. Tech lateral admission applications from tomorrow

Application forms for admission to second-year B.E/B.Tech courses for the current academic year under the lateral entry scheme in government, government aided, self-financing engineering colleges will be issued from May 13 to June 5, on all working days, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.The cost of application form is Rs.300. It will be issued free of cost to SCA/SC/ST candidates on production of an attested copy of the community certificate.
Applicants may submit a Demand Draft drawn not before May 12 towards the cost of the form from any nationalized/scheduled bank in favour of the Secretary, Second Year B.E./B.Tech. Degree Admissions-2014, Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, payable at Karaikudi.
The forms will be sold in 25 centres across the State. In Chennai, they will be sold at the Directorate of Technical Education, Guindy, and the Government Polytechnic College, Purasawalkam.
Applications can be obtained by post by sending a self-addressed envelope of size 35 x 26, affixing stamp to the value of Rs.50, along with a Demand Draft for the prescribed amount and a requisition letter. The last date for submission of forms is June 6.
