Giant Linga of Lord Shiva at the seventh Hindu Spiritual fair

The seventh Hindu Spiritual fair was commenced on Tuesday at the AM Jain College grounds, Meenambakkam. A giant Linga of Lord Shiva made of Rudrakshas has been put up at the entrance. This was a great attraction top the crowd. This fair will be held till 9th of this month. The week-long fair, where 340 stalls have come up, will drive home the point that it is essential for the scattered sects of Indian origin to unite in these challenging times.
Nearly 380 competitions on topics such as the recital of slokas, oratorical, dramatics, singing, Tamil and folk devotional songs among others have been organised for the children to participate.
The spiritual fair is also an avenue for one to connect with age old games of Tamil society.
