Demanding scrapping of the present toll system, apex transporters body AIMTC continued its nationwide strike for the second consecutive day on Friday, disrupting supply of goods to various parts of the country.
Tamil Nadu was also affected. No trucks were operated from Tamil Nadu to other states and similarly from other states to Tamil Nadu. Traffic was not disrupted in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram. 20% trucks did not turn up in Koyambedu market and because of this some vegetable prices went up.
