Chennai floods: Navy deploys INS Airavat for rescue operations on war footing

A massive relief operation by the Indian Army and Navy is underway in Chennai, which has been hit by severe torrential rains .The downpour has triggered a deluge in the city, its suburbs and Puducherry, disrupting normal life.
The Indian Navy has deployed INS Airavat, which has a helicopter on board, from Vishakapatnam for rescue efforts.
