Internationally acclaimed 2-wheeler manufacturer, Harley Davidson, has planned to expand its manufacture/business by focusing on smaller cities.
Harley Davidson expects a good demand for bikes in B cities as well.
Harley Davidson entered India for retail activities in 2010. Mr. Vikram Pawah, Indian Head of Harley Davidson, informed that the company has sold 12000 Harley Davidson bikes.
During the inaugural function of introduction to distributors, Mr. Vikram Pawah mentioned that in the history of the motorbike culture, there is a remarkable history in the success of Harley Davidson.
In the international market for iconic bikes, Harley Davidson enjoys the lion`s share of 65 percent business. Keeping this status in consideration, the promotion of the bikes will be expanded to the 2nd grade or B class cities.
When a question was raised as to introduce bikes of lower cc capacity to suit the Indian Road conditions, Mr. Vikram Pawah replied that there are no such plans. Harley Davidson reckons the business prospects in South India as prominent.
