Charges up in tollgates from tomorrow (1st April)

The increased charges in toll-gates will come into effect from tomorrow (Friday, 1st April).
The owners of sand trucks have protested against this measure.The central government had announced that the charges in the 18 toll gates in Tamil Nadu will be increased from 1st April. The truck owners have protested strongly against this.
The sand-truck owners have expressed that they are ready to pay the toll gate charges for a year, but will not accept the increase in toll gate charges. They have insisted that the decision to increase the toll gate charges must be reviewed.
Tamil Nadu Lorry Owners Association President, Mr. Kumaraswamy, has informed that an announcement regarding the protest against the rise in toll gate charges and vehicle insurance charges will be made during the meeting of the Lorry Owners Association scheduled on 3rd April.
