The director of school education of the state government has sent a circular to all district education officers. A brief on the same:

All school headmasters should check for stagnant water holes, open holes, or open wells, sewage tank, or water tanks in the school complex. They have to confirm that these are in proper closed condition. They should also ensure that the students do not go near them.

During the daily prayer assembly session, all the students should be made aware about the harmful effects of going near the open wells or stagnant water areas during the lunch break or while returning home. They should also be made aware about the risks of driving 2-wheelers.

If any trees are noticed to be in a falling condition, they should be removed immediately. If any electric cable/wires are found cut and hanging near the high-voltage electricity poles, these wires/cables must be removed immediately.

Checks should be made about all electric connections. Any leakage of electricity or fault must be checked. The electric switches in the classrooms must be checked for proper working condition. The roofs of the building must also be checked for proper strength.

Efforts must be taken to initiate activities to increase the number of admissions in the government schools.

Permission has been granted to start English medium classes. Efforts must be made to reach the set target for new admissions for this year which should be much more than the last year’s performance.
