Married sons also eligible for mercy-based job offer

The central government has announced that the married sons also will be eligible for jobs on mercy grounds.

It is a practice to offer a job to 1 person (based on his qualifications) in the family if a central government employee in service dies. Until now, this facility was denied to married sons of the central government employee who dies.

In the latest press release, the ministry of Human Welfare has explained I this issue:

The practice of offering a job when a central government employee dies while in service to one of his/her heirs on mercy grounds. Now, this chance will be given to even the married sons of the dead central government employee.

The job would be given to the married son if all other conditions are satisfied. The offer of a job would be a great help to the family left destitute after the death of the earning member, a central government employee.

It may be noted that this practice of offering a job to the heir of the central government employee who dies while in service is also valid for the central government employees who had given voluntary retirement before the age of 55 on medical grounds.
