All Omni Bus Owners and Operators Association have determined the ticket rates on the occasion of Deepavali function. Similarly they have decided to divert the routes to their destinations in order to avoid festival congestion.

D Elangovan, general secretary, Omni Bus Owners and Operators Association and Association Secretary A Anbalagan while speaking above said: For the last few years we are fixing the ticket rates for omni buses. Usually we operate 600 buses daily. During the festive season, there will be more demand. Hence we will operate more than 1200 from 27th to 31st throughout Tamil Nadu. Since there will be heavy traffic congestion during the deepavali festival season, it has been decided to operate omni buses from Koyambedu via new bypass road to Vandalur,

During the mentioned period the omni buses will not be operated via Tambaram and Perungalathur. Omni Bus Owners and Operators Association in consultation with Tamil Nadu Transport officials have fixed the ticket rates. The omni bus operators have also been warned not to charge more than the rate fixed by the Association. Passengers should not approach touts. We are insisting the people that they should buy the tickets from the bus operators. If any operator is charging more than the determined fare, a complaint can be made to 044-32000090
