Udaan scheme to be implemented from January

Udaan scheme, fixing a maximum flight fare of Rs. 2500/- covering the flights under 1-hour duration was introduced last October.
The central Minister for Aviation Transport, Ashok Gajapathy Raju, informed during the question hour that this Udaan scheme will be implemented from January 2017.
About 17 airports and 407 runways are less-utilised. The minister expressed that with Udaan scheme, all classes of people can afford to travel by flight.
