The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palanisamy inaugurated the facility certificate on-the-palm which provides the facility for the public to receive the various certificates (on their mobile phones) for which they had applied to the Revenue Department.

There are more than 10000 e-service centres functioning throughout Tamil Nadu. The various certificates to be obtained from the revenue department are processed here and issued to the public. The government has been initiating various measures to simplify these procedures so the public may get them without any hardship such as several visits, travel, time, expenses in this process.

As one of the steps, it had been advised that mobile numbers must be registered in the e-service centres from 2nd May.

As soon as the centre receives approval for the issue, SMS will be sent to the mobile phone of the applicant along with tiny URL.

The Chief Minister E. Palanisamy inaugurated this facility called certificate on-the-palm yesterday (Monday, 29th May).

With this facility, the public, with the use of the internet, can apply and receive essential documents/certificates such as passport, etc. right while sitting in homes through their mobile phones and download the same.
