Central govt withdraws monthly LPG price hike order

It is gathered that the central government has withdrawn the permission given to the Oil Corporations to keep the monthly increase the price of LPG cooking Gas cylinders by Rs. 4 every month.
Earlier, the Ministry of Petroleum had given permission for the oil corporation to increase the price of the LPG cooking gas cylinders by Rs. 4 every month in order for them to partly offset the loss incurred by the corporations.
Accordingly, the price of the LPG cooking gas cylinder had been increased by a total of Rs. 76.50 in the last 17 months until October 2017.
However, after October, the price of the LPG cooking gas cylinders had not been increased during the months of November and December.
Hence. It is gathered that the central government has withdrawn the permission given to the Oil Corporations to keep the monthly increase of the LPG cooking Gas cylinders by Rs. 4 every month.
