Another hot day on cards in Chennai with Temperature expected to cross 40 C in the outskirts of the city while the city will be around 39-40 C.
Just bear with the hot day for one or two more days till 31st May / 1st June. From June 1st/2nd Temperature is expected to drop a lot. You can see how monsoon onset in kerala has pushed the hot winds over the coast. Once monsoon spreads over central india, the hot dry north westerly winds will be stopped. So even if westerlies are present, it wont be so hot in Chennai.
This is a small summer for Chennai lasting only 3 days. Dont expose yourself under hot sun without umbrella or a cap atleast between 10.00 am to 2.00 pm for next two days. Sea breeze will set in around 12-1.00 pm in the city while in the outskirts it will be around 2-3.00 pm.
