No internet service on phone in J&K

Internet services on mobile phones have been stopped in Jammu and Kashmir following the hanging of Afzal Guru today. It is believed that this step has been taken as a preventive measure to violence or protests of any sort.
The services are cut off every year on Republic Day and Independence Day as well.
