Corporation plans skywalks

The Corporation has budgeted Rs. 10 crores to build 2 skywalks in T. Nagar and Parrys. The skywalks will enable pedestrians get from one place to another faster and without hinderance from Vehicular traffic.
Speaking to the press, an official from the Corporation said, ‘We found that people come to Ranganathan Street and take autos from South Usman Road to the depot and take buses to Chengalpet, Sriperambudur and Mamallapuram. The facility could cost Rs 10 crore. Advocates, litigants traders and professionals get off at Beach Station and work on NSC Bose Road.’
