Banking services might get affected in TN

On Wednesday, banking transactions in TN might get affected as 5 bank unions would be taking part in the countrywide Bharat Bandh. This bandh has been called by 10 central trade unions.
It is worthy to mention that the employees of SBI would not be taking part in this strike. The transport workers unions would be taking part in the strike and as a result of this, the bus services might get partially affected. The school teachers would not be involved in this strike and this was declared by a prominent government school teachers union.
Around 1.5 lakhs central government employees from 47 organisations in TN would be taking part in the strike that is backed by 11 central trade unions. This was mentioned by the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers Coordination Committee.
MTC did not receive any notice about the strike and the MTC buses and other mofussil buses would run as usual. This was as per an official belonging to MTC.
