Earning Rs 6000 per day by selling fresh milk!! Sound’s incredible isn’t it!!

That was possible in the past for a milkman when the life was normal in the absence of Corona virus infection, but things have changed now.

The Corona virus threat has stopped many Chennai residents from buying fresh milk now. The important point is tea stalls are also closed due to this threat and as a result the milk vendors in Triplicane are dumping close to 300 litres of milk in the sewer daily.

A milkman belonging to Triplicane spoke his heart out. He threw light on how the officials belonging to Chennai Corporation have instructed the residents not to allow anyone inside their houses for the sake of avoiding spreading of Covid-19. This has created huge fear on the residents and they have stopped buying fresh milk but buy milk packets as it is regarded safe. He added that there are no tea shops now and hotels are not interested to buy fresh milk. Hence, dumping of nearly 300 litres of milk is being done every day.

It is worth mentioning here that as many as 280 families in Triplicane have been making both ends meet by selling fresh milk at the door steps. It was later brought out by a milk vendor how in the past he used to sell 25 litres of fresh milk to a house and how now he supplies just 7 litres. Currently, earning Rs 500 a day has become tough and it has affected his life.
