Parking vehicles have been an issue in the crowded localities like T. Nagar, Anna Nagar and Besant Nagar etc. This issue won’t be there hereafter.
The chief minister of TN Mr. E. Palaniswamy on Thursday launched a vehicle parking management system for streamlining parking facilities in Chennai city. This launch was done in the above said places in the first phase through video conferencing process.
To make optimum use of the space available for the purpose, GCC aims at implementing vehicle parking management systems across Chennai.
In addition to the launching of the vehicle parking system, Chief Minister of TN later launched the drainage scheme to benefit over 1.53 lakh houses in places such as Tiruvottriyur, Soorapet, Puthagaram, Kathirvedu, Mdhavarm, Ambattur, Nolambur, Maduravoyal, Ullagaram, Sholinganallur Karapakkam etc.
At a cost of Rs 6.3crores, the chief minister launched digital water level recorders in 200 areas in Chennai city plus work on rain gauge installation at a cost of Rs 52 lakhs.
