Income Tax Department announces a new website! To function from 7th June!

The Income Tax Department has recently announced that a new exclusive website will be launched and would be functional from 7th June for the Income Tax Payers and those who file Income Tax returns!
It is announced further that the present website used for the Income Tax filing purposes is scheduled to be closed from 1st June to 6th June and that the Income Tax Payer WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THIS WEBSITE DURING THIS PERIOD FOR 6 DAYS.
Time will be given for the Tax Payers and those who file tax returns to get accustomed to the new website. Complaints regarding the new website will be enquired and attended from 10th June.
The Department of Income Tax has announced that this new website www.incometax.gov.in can be accessible for the public, taxpayers and traders who can fill;e the tax returns by themselves!
