Admission of first year students in Arts, Science colleges in TN to begin from this day!!

Many students who have completed class12 would be eager to join Arts and Sciences colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Information collected is that the admission for these students in the first year in the Arts and Sciences colleges would begin from 23rd of August and it would go on till 3rd of September 2021. This was according to the Directorate of Collegiate Education.
For the academic year 2021-22, as many as 3lakhs students have registered their applications online for 120,000 seats in as many as 143 Arts and Sciences colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The rank list was announced on 17th August and the rank list must be downloaded by the principals of the colleges.
According to the director of collegiate education, the genuinity of the marks scored in class 12 by the students must be checked and based on that the students must be admitted for the first year in the colleges. Point to be noted is that if any mistake was found in the marks of a student then the admission of that particular student must be stopped. It is said that a student`s rank list must be pasted on the notice board of the college. Both online admission as well as direct admission could be done and Coronavirus safety norms must be followed strictly. For that, arrangements of seats must be followed strictly.
He added that the details regarding their admission would be made available to the students either through SMS or through emails. The date for the classes for the first year students would be announced later. It is important to note here that a student could be admitted in another branch depending on the department rules if the desired branch chosen by the student got filled up. He concluded that the students should be motivated for computer training plus skills development training and the training must be organised in the colleges itself.
