Shocking news for the public: LPG cooking gas cylinder price up again!

Indian Oil Corporation has announced that the price of the domestic LPG Cooking Gas cylinder is up by Rs. 25/- effective from today (Wednesday, 1st September).

The oil corporations have been revising the prices of the LPG cooking Gas Cylinders every 1st & 15th of each month depending on the price situation of the international crude oil!

Accordingly, the price of the domestic LPG cooking gas price revised upwards by Rs. 50/- last December from Rs. 610/- to Rs. 660/- per cylinder.

After that, the price has been regularly increasing every subsequent month for the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder!

It was revised up by Rs. 25/- on 4th February, by Rs. 50/- on 15th February, and again by Rs. 25/- on 25th February.  Again, it was revised up by Rs. 25/- on 1st March. As such, the price of the LPG domestic cooking gas cylinder was up by Rs. 125/- in a single month!

After this, the price was reduced by Rs. 10/- on 1st April, Subsequently, the price started increasing again by Rs. 25/-.

The price of the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder was Rs. 825/- during April, May, and June.

However, it was revised up by Rs. 25/- on 1st July, and by Rs. 25/- again in August. It sold at Rs. 875.50 per cylinder!

The price of the commercial LPG cooking gas cylinder also shot up by Rs. 84.40 and sold at Rs. 1687.50.

With the present grave crisis of the raging coronavirus pandemic having severely affected the lifeline of the common public. Many of them losing their jobs, and struggling with financial resources, THIS INCREASING TREND OF LPG COOKING GAS PRICES HAS PUSHED THEM FURTHER DOWN! As such, many people from different sectors have been pleading to withdraw the price increases!

Given the above situation, Indian Oil Corporation has announced that the price of the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder has been increased by Rs. 25/- and the commercial LPG cooking gas cylinder by Rs. 75/- increasing their prices to be Rs. 900.50 & Rs. 1831/- respectively from today (Wednesday, 1st September)!

As such the price of the cylinder has increased by as much as Rs. 285/- in a year!

Indeed, this price increase has put the housewives in great hardship! They have pleaded that this price increase MUST be withdrawn immediately!
