Damaged Chennai public toilets to be repaired by Independence day

Of recent times, there is less patronage of public toilets in Chennai except in some areas. The main reason for this is most of them are in damaged state.
Now the Chennai Corporation has decided to set right the 294 partially damaged and 60 completely dilapidated toilets. Some of the zones with a large number of damaged toilets include Tiruvottiyur, which has 42 damaged ones, Tondiarpet with 21, Royapuram with 27, Thiru.Vi.Ka. Nagar with 47 and Anna Nagar with 32. All the works connected with the public toilets will be completed by 15th August.
