Inspite of several camps held for administering Covid vaccination for the public, many have not come forward to receive the dose. Now, the state health department has planned to accelerate the campaign for free Covid booster dose vaccination for the public.
To make the maximum number of eligible persons to take Covid vaccination, district medical officers as well as district health departments have been instructed by the health department of TN. This was mentioned by the health minister Mr. Subramanian. The booster doses would be available for free till 30th of September and it would be available in as many as 11333 facilities across the state.
It was then pointed out by the health minister that the public eligible for free booster dose must receive it before the deadline because after the date it was not clear whether free dose would be available or not. Information collected is that in TN 96.55percent have received the first vaccination shots and 91.39 have received their second vaccination shots till now.
The health minister appreciated the efforts taken by the health department officers including doctors, nurses etc. It is true that people even now are reluctant towards getting administered with the Covid booster vaccination dose and around 3.4 crore people haven`t yet taken the vaccination.
