More women than men have shown huge interest in govt jobs - The craze for government jobs is still high in TN!!

In recent years, huge progress has been made in the IT sector in the state of Tamil Nadu. Despite this, the craze for government jobs is still increasing.
It is noteworthy that more than 10lakhs persons have applied for the TN govt jobs in 2022. Last year, the number of those who had registered for govt jobs was 63.63 lakhs and in 2022 the number has increased to 73.99 lakhs candidates till now. The surprising truth is that in this year more women have registered for the govt jobs when compared with males.
This year, as many as 3945861 women have got registered with the employment exchange for the government jobs in the state and just 3553380 males have got registered. This was as per a senior official belonging to the Labour Department. After West Bengal, the state of TN ranks second in the number of persons waiting for government jobs.
In 2022, as many as 7399512 persons were on the waiting list and this was high when compared to 2021 where 6363122 persons were on the waiting list. In this year there has been an increase in the enrollment at various employment centres and this was because many recruitment processes could not be held due to Coronavirus induced lockdown in 2020.
