Tamil Nadu State Minister for health: Fever camps will continue to be organized until the end of the rainy season!

The State Minister for the health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, M. Subramanian, has informed that the fever camps will continue to be organized until the end of the current monsoon rainy season.

A special team from the Republic of Malta is voting for Chennai Metro City to see the infrastructure formats of the Tamil Nadu Government`s Health Department.

Malta`s Health Minister met with the Tamil Nadu State Government Health Minister M. Subramanian yesterday (Thursday, 6th October) at the Chennai Anna Salai Multi-Specialty Hospital.

The Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Health, Senthilkumar, the Director of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Council, Deepak Jacob, the Director of the Public Health and Disease Prevention Department, Selvavinayakam, the Director of Medical Education, Narayana Babu were all present in this meeting.

After this meeting with the Malta visitors, Tamil Nadu Health Minister M. Subramanian had a session with the press reporters and shared:

"Awareness has been created among the public in Tamil; Nadu about the spread of Dengue fever. The fever camps will continue to be organized till the conclusion of the monsoon rainy season. So far, 18 Lakh citizens have participated in these camps and benefited!

Health Department officials have started enquiries about the recent death of 3 children who died after consuming contaminated food items. Stringent action will be taken against the culprits!

We have requested for 200 additional seats from the medical graduate courses with the new colleges being started. The State Government got 50 additional seats from the Vellore Medical Colleges."

The Secretary of the Department of Health, Senthilkumar, shared: "A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed soon between the Malta University and Tamil Nadu Dr MGR University. There are several job opportunities in the Medical Department of Malta. Once the Memorandum of understanding is signed, there are bright opportunities for jobs for the nurses and doctors here!"
