Sales of fire crackers in Island Grounds, Chennai from 17th October onwards!!

What is diwali without firecrackers?
With Deepavali festival fast approaching, there is a huge excitement among the people now in Chennai. From 17th of October 2022 onwards, sales of crackers would begin at the famous Island Grounds in Chennai. Currently, many traders are busy making arrangements for the sales of crackers.
On 24th of October, the deepavali festival would be celebrated and every year for deepavali festival arrangements would be made at the Island Grounds for the sales of fire crackers etc. The department of tourism has announced the tender for setting up of as manya s 55 cracker shops in this year.Now, the tender has completed and the traders are busy in making arrangements for setting up of shops to sell firecrackers at Island Grounds in Chennai. The shops are being set up at a distance of 3m from one another and these shops would have an area of 250 sq m. Near these shops, arrangements have been made for the sake of safety precautions.
As per some officers from the department of tourism it was confirmed that from 17th October onwards the sales of firecrackers would begin at the Island Grounds in Chennai. Security arrangements have been made accordingly as thousands of people would be visiting these shops here to purchase firecrackers.
Other important arrangements that have been made here include fire engines, water lorries, accident prevention teams, insurance for all shops, ambulance facilities etc. Special exit routes arrangements have also been made here for emergency exit of the public also.
