When will Rs 1000 be given to the ration card holders for the Pongal festival?

Every year, in the state of Tamil Nadu, a Pongal gift package is given to all the ration card holders on the occasion of the Pongal festival. Normally, in the first week of January, the ration card holders would receive the Pongal gift package from their nearest ration shops.
Now, the Pongal festival is fast approaching and there are just 20 days for the festival. In this scenario, the people have been waiting eagerly to receive the Pongal gift package. For this Pongal festival, it is expected that Rs 1000 in cash plus sugar and other items would be given.
Now, the minister Mr. Periyakaruppan has been discussing with the officials at the secretariat about the distribution of the Pongal festival package. It is now said that the details regarding when the Pongal festival gift package would be issued have been discussed. In the meeting, cooperative secretary Mr. Radhakrishnan and chief officers also took part.
