Good news regarding starting new model schools in TN for training the students for NEET, JEE etc!!

For the upcoming academic year 2023-24, the school education department would start model schools in as many as 13 districts in Tamil Nadu. The main objective behind this would be to provide coaching for competitive exams such as NEET and JEE etc. At present, there are model schools in as many as 25 districts belonging to TN. More than 230 post graduate teachers would be deputed for these model schools in 38 districts in TN. This would be carried out by the school education department. These 238 teachers would be se;lected through teachers recruitment board or TRB. A list of proposed postings in the respective district model schools have been released also.
The school education department has sought the consent of the teachers to confirm the postings after the proposed list was released. This was mentioned by a model school teacher. There is still no clarity about the names of 13 new districts that would have model schools. It is learnt that apart from regular coaching there would also be coaching for competitive exams like NEET and JEE etc for the students.
In 2021-22, the school education department grabbed many eyeballs when it started 10 model schools. In 2022-23, the department started 15 model schools in TN and it would be starting 13 model schools in 2023-24. Academically high performing students would reap benefits with these model schools and it is now said that each district in TN is planning to have a model school.
In the Hosur region of Krishnagiri district, starting from 8th April onwards, the school education dept has been conducting training programmes for more then 1000 model school teachers. It is worthy to note that training called Kalasei Sirpi has been completed for 3 batches till now. Teachers after completion of 5 batch training would be able to teach both academics and arts.
