Connecting ECR and CPRR by trumpet interchange - Travel from Ennore to Puducherry in just 3 and half hours!!

East Coast Road or ECR would be connected to Chennai Peripheral Ring Road or CPRR at Poonjeri and work to construct trumpet interchange would start soon at Poonjeri. By this, the traffic on the ECR would be able to get into CPRR and go to Ennore comfortably without the need to go into the city. Sound`s incredible right!!
It was brought out by a cab driver that the trumpet interchange at Poonjeri would allow the motorists from& to Pondicherry and Cuddalore etc to avoid traffic in Chennai easily. The connectivity to many places would be increased after CPRR gets completed.
The sensational piece of information is that soon motorists would be able to travel from Ennore to Pondicherry in just 3 and half hours instead of 5 hours. By this, time, fuel plus wear and tear of the vehicles would be saved.
It was mentioned by some sources belonging to NHAI that the contractor has enough land to take up the work. It added that as the trumpet interchange runs near the Perumal Eri NHAI has obtained NOC from the WRD. By November 2024, the work would get completed when the first package of phase one from Mahabalipuram to Mugaiyur would get completed. This was also mentioned by NHAI sources.
