Great news regarding non-cancellation of ration cards in Tamil Nadu even if all the fingerprints are not recorded!!

For not recording the fingerprints of all the family members, the ration cards would not be cancelled. This was pointed out by Mr. R. Sakkarapani, TN minister for food and civil supplies.
It must be recalled that the Union govt has asked the ration cardholders to update the biometric details including fingerprints details of all the family members. As and when the beneficiaries visit the ration shops, the workers have been asked to collect the fingerprints. It is learnt that in some places the ration shops have wrongly mentioned that the beneficiaries could get the ration only if all the family members have updated their biometric details.
The minister spoke about how the ration card holders could update their biometric details according to their convenience. Special camps would be conducted for registering. He assured that the ration cards would not get cancelled
