Monitoring officers have been appointed by the school education dept for all the districts in Tamil Nadu for monitoring the board examination preparation for classes 10, 11 and 12. Information is that the monitoring officers would be designated as directors, join directors and deputy directors etc.
The officers have been directed to supervise the examination work for higher secondary classes. This was as per the circular from the DGE or directorate of government examination.
Monitoring officer for Chennai is P. Venkata Priya of DGE, M. Aarthi of Integrated School education Dept, for Thiruvallur it would be Mr. G. Arivoli, director for school education, for Kancheepuram it would be T. Usha of TRB. It must be noted that these persons would be responsible for works involving exam centres, centres allotment etc.
It is known to us that the practical examinations for class 10 would take place from 23rd February to 29th February, practical exam for class11 would take place from 19th February to 24th February and for class 12 it would be from 12th February to 17th February.
In the same way, for class12, the examinations for chemistry, accountancy and geography papers would be held on 11th March. On 15th March, exams for physics and economics will be held. It is noteworthy that on 19th and 22nd of March maths and biology respectively exams would be held.
Likewise for class11, biology exam would be held on 18th March, Chemistry exam on 21st and maths exam on 25th March. For the class 10 students, on 1st April, a maths exam would take place followed by science of 4th April and social science of 8th of April.
According to the schedule released by the TN education minister in November 2023, the class 12 results would be announced on 6th May, class 11 results on 14th May and class 10 results on 10th May.
