Sensational news about Kuthambakkam bus terminus in Chennai has come out!!

For those who have been waiting patiently for the opening of a new bus terminus at Kuthambakkam in Chennai, there is some happy news now!!

The bus terminus would be opened in the month of June or July. This was according to the HR & CE minister Mr. P.K. Sekarbabu. It is known to us that he is also the chairperson of CMDA. Now, the construction works are going on and are about to be completed. Kuthambakkam is located near Thirumzhisai is known.

Information gathered is that CMDA has been constructing the bus terminus at Kuthambakkam for Rs 414 crores. The minister spoke about how the chief minister would dedicate the facility for the public once the works get completed. He hinted about the ongoing bus terminus construction works at Chengalpet and at Mahabalipuram for Rs 97 cr and Rs 90 cr respectively.

From the new bus terminus, buses to the western districts would be operated. In 15 places across Chennai including Kodambakkam, Ambattur etc, Mudhalvar Padaippagam or co-working space would be constructed. An amount of Rs 40 cr would be spent on this. Thirteen co-working spaces would be coming up at north Chennai.

In the year 2024, TN govt has already opened a similar space in Kolathur to provide affordable co-working space and e-learning spaces, conference facilities with amenities for entrepreneurs, students preparing for the competitive exams.

Every month, more than 6000 students and youths from low income families benefit from the Mudhalvar Padaippagam. For Rs 30 cr, a modern public library would be built on the Prakasam Road at Broadway. Candidates who prepare for the competitive exams would get benefit as the library would have internet facilities also. An amount of Rs 37 cr would be used to improve 5 grounds. By this, the sporting talent of youngsters would be improved and social and entertainment space would be provided.

Important localities in north Chennai such as Perambur, Royapuram, Kolathur and Harbor would get 4 new bus stops. An amount of Rs 45 cr would be used to build multi-purpose halls also.
