The Department of School Education
Department has organized a special course for the Government schools 10th
Standard & +2 students who scored poor marks in the ‘half-yearly’
examinations.

Rameswara Murugan informed:
The department planned to call all the
headmasters of Government schools where the high percentage of10th
standard & +2 students in the March 2013 exams scored under 70%. The first
meeting of the headmasters was conducted in Coimbatore on 3rd
January.Education Minister, Mr. K. Veeramani and the education department
secretary Ms. T. Sabitha participated. The headmasters were advised to conduct
special conduct special classes for the 10th Std & +2 students
who scored below 70%.
They were also advised to find the
individual student’s weakness in certain subjects and coach him/her for
improvement. This is in order to secure 100% ‘pass’ result in all Government
Schools.The counseling for the low-scoring school headmasters will continue. The
next meeting is scheduled at Tirunelveli on 5th January. This will
cover the 4 districts of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin,
Kanyakumari, and Virudhunagar.
