Chennai Corporation Budget for 2014-15: Rs. 4,200/- Crores

A budget of Rs. 4,200 Crores has been declared for the year 2014-15 by Chennai Corporation.
The mayor, Mr. S. Duraisamy has announced that 20 Litre cans of water will be sold to public at subsidized price. ‘Amma weekly fares’, a weely shopping fare, will be organized in 200 wards for the benefit of the public. Another notable plan is to build ‘Amma Theatre’s to screen movies at lower ticket rates.
For the benefit of the visitors to Chennai, low-cost lodges will be built in available open lands. Also, ladies’ lodges are to be built.
